Hampstead Heath
The scenic ancient park stands as one of the highest points of London with spectacular views of the city skyline.
Hampstead Heath (or as it is locally known, ‘the Heath’) stands as one of the highest points in London. The 790-acre park is filled with hills and ponds and provides a perfect escape from the bustling city centre.
Ever seen the movie Notting Hill? The north side of the Heath features Kenwood House. With a spectacular interior and indeed exterior, Kenwood is a cultural masterpiece completed by the famous 18th-century Scottish architect Robert Adam. He extended the original 17th-century house and designed many of the rooms – with the star attraction being the Great Library.
Be sure to take in a lovely British lunch in the cafes in the surrounding area, and with only a 25-minute walk from the hotel, the Heath provides the perfect opportunity to view the city landscape while basking in the sunshine!
